This End User License Agreement ("Agreement") is a legal agreement between you (the "user") and QualityCat (hereafter "we", "us") for the use of Cosmic Forge (the "app"), a free offline idle game distributed through the Apple App Store and Google Play.
By downloading, installing, or using the app, you agree to be bound by this Agreement. If you do not agree, do not install or use the app.
1. License grant
We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable, royalty-free license to install and run the app on any iOS or Android device you personally own or control, subject to the terms of this Agreement and the respective platform's terms of service (the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions, and the Google Play Terms of Service).
2. Restrictions
You may not:
- Distribute, sublicense, rent, lease, or sell the app or its assets.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive the source code of the app, except to the extent permitted by applicable law.
- Modify the app or create derivative works for redistribution.
- Use the app in any manner that violates applicable law.
You may inspect your own local save file and modify your own game state — the app is an offline single-player experience with no leaderboards or competitive features, and the save is explicitly not integrity-protected. "God Mode" is offered inside the app as a play-style choice; enabling it can corrupt your save and is done at your own risk.
3. Intellectual property
The app, its code, its art, its copy, and the name "Cosmic Forge" are owned by QualityCat and are protected by copyright and other intellectual-property laws. This Agreement does not grant you any ownership of the app — you have a license to use it, nothing more.
4. No warranty
The app is provided "AS IS", without warranty of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from save-file corruption. Save files may be lost, corrupted, or reset across major version upgrades, and we disclaim responsibility for any such loss.
5. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, QualityCat shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the app, including but not limited to lost progress, lost time, or emotional distress. In no event shall our aggregate liability exceed the amount you paid to install the app, which — this being a free title — is zero.
6. Account termination
Since the app does not maintain user accounts, there is nothing for us to terminate. If you wish to stop using the app, uninstall it. Your local save will be removed by the operating system as part of uninstallation.
7. Updates
We may release updates to the app. Updates are distributed via the Apple App Store and Google Play and are subject to the respective platform's update mechanics. We are not obligated to provide any specific update cadence or to maintain backward-compatibility with prior save formats, though we make a reasonable effort to do so (see the changelog inside the app for migration notes).
8. Governing law
This Agreement is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which QualityCat is registered, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles.
9. Changes to this agreement
We may update this Agreement at any time. Material changes will be announced via the in-app changelog and, if required by applicable law, through the app stores' update mechanisms. Continued use of the app after a material update constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
